Essential Oils – What Now?
Essential oils have become especially common since Aromatherapy is becoming more popular in the “mainstream.” So many people are developing a passion for essential oils!
But this means that you might go online to find out which essential oils to use for a tension headache (for example), and find a lot of information . . . but not all of the websites say the same thing.
You could find conflicting essential oil information about which oils to use for a headache, how to apply those oils, how many drops to use, how well they’ve been researched, and whether there are any safety precautions associated with them.
What to do?
Even though Aromatherapy’s growth spurt is very exciting, it’s important that we have access to reliable, accurate essential oil information. We need to be able to use our essential oils effectively—and safely!
Essential oils are amazing natural resources for us. And just like nature itself, they can support us in so many ways—but we have to know how to use them.
If you’ve ever wished that you knew exactly how to use essential oils to support yourself and those you care about, then I hope you’ll start by attending local ‘make-it-take-it’ events and see if it’s for you. Check out this event: Spring-Summer Skin Make-it-Take-it.
As Aromatherapy is becoming so popular, now is the perfect time to dive into your education and deepen your knowledge, so you can navigate the confusion around essential oil information and support others. It’s more important than ever—the Aromatherapy world needs you!
And before I end this post, I just have to give you a great blend for tension headaches!
Tension Headache Blend
- 3 drops Lavender essential oil (Lavandula angustifolia)
- 6 drops Frankincense essential oil (Boswellia carterii)
- 2 drops Rosemary essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis camphor)
- 1 drop Eucalyptus essential oil (Eucalyptus globulus)
- 1 drop Helichrysum essential oil (Helichrysum italicum)
Make this blend in 1 oz (30 ml) of jojoba or cream. Rub it onto the back of your neck as soon as you notice the tension setting in. Continue as needed until the headache calms down.
All of the oils in this blend are excellent at calming inflammation (and easing pain). They also support us to feel centered and mentally alert.
