Beauty Aids – Skin
After Shave
Beach Side Soap
I love the look and feel of this soap. The base is a Shea Butter Soap with oatmeal added for a gentle exfoliant. The top layer is a Goat’s Milk Soap. Both are scented with Brambleberry’s Beach Breezes fragrance.
Cool & Refreshing Skin Spray
Feels delightful if kept in the refrigerator but that isn’t necessary!
Keep one in your pool bag, your purse and in your fridge.
Notes: If you don’t use salt, just give a good shake before using!
Creamy Goat’s Milk Soap
This is a creamy medium to soft homemade milk soap with lots of bubble lather and the beautiful aroma of ylang ylang essential oil. This goat milk soap recipe leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth, it’s a must make for all soap makers.
Cuticle Cream
Cold weather can be tough on skin and cuticles, and can often form dry spots and crack. Making a homemade cuticle cream is a great way to bring moisture and health back to your nails. You can also use this cream on your hands, lips, or anywhere you have dry spots.
Detox Lotion
Facial Serum for Aging Skin
Foaming Hand Soap
Hand, Foot, and Nail Cream
This cream will soften and heal the skin along with strengthening the nails on both hand and feet.
This recipe will make 2 jars, I normally double the recipe and give as gifts.
Hard Lotion Bar Recipe
Most homemade lotion recipes involve quite a few ingredients, blenders and more mess than I’d prefer to clean up. In contrast, all you need for these these bars is three ingredients, one pot, and molds – that’s it!
Homemade Deodorant
This homemade deodorant recipe is amazing! You only need 3 ingredients to make this effective, healthy and cost effective deodorant!
Homemade Frankincense and Myrrh Lotion
Homemade Sunburn Spray
Homemade Sunscreen
Itch Relief (bug bites and poison ivy)
Lavender Mint Bath Salts
Nothing says I love you mom on Mother’s Day like a homemade gift of lavender mint scented bath salts …
Moisturizing Shower Gel
Moisturizing Skin Oil
Non-Greasy Lotion
This creamy moisturizer will repair your dry skin after a long winter, but it’s light enough to carry you all the way through a hot summer.
Non-Greasy Moisturizing Cream Lotion
If you’re looking for something a bit lighter for the summer months, or just want to drink your coffee without dropping the mug, here is a great non-greasy moisturizing lotionalternative for you! This one’s made with shea butter and almond and jojoba oils, which are much more easily absorbed. And of course, it doesn’t contain anything you can’t pronounce.
Whether they’re dealing with a cold winter or playing in the dirt all day, your hands can take a beating. And while it doesn’t feel (or sound) quite as luxurious as the body butter, this non-greasy moisturizing lotion is easy to whip up and will still leave your hands feeling happy regardless of what they go through!
Nourishing Body and Hand Cream
This lotion recipe uses essential oils. While they aren’t necessary, adding them can turn your lotion from being simply moisturizing to something that really addresses what is going on with your skin.
- Dry or aging skin? Try rose & geranium
- Need to be energized and refreshed? Try lavender, lemon, and grapefruit
- Troubled skin like psoriasis or eczema? Try helichrysum, frankincense, lavender, sandalwood, chamomile, rose or jasmine
- Want to avoid Stretch Marks? Try helichrysum, lavender, patchouli, neroli, rose, & geranium
Oatmeal Goat Milk Soap
Roll-on Deodorant
This DIY roll-on deodorant is easy, fragrant, and fully customizable! You can use any combination of essential oils that you’d like. You can make a male and a female version. This is your chance to get creative and create your own unique and beautiful fragrance!
Lemon essential oil helps with odor-producing bacteria and grapefruit essential oil has cellulite reducing properties.
Scar Removal Oil
Shaving Cream
Skin Soothing Oil
I love to spray this on my damp skin after my shower, massage it in, and then towel dry.
Soothing Skin Lotion
This lotion can be used to soothing the itchy, flaky skin that might be associated with dermatitis and other skin disorders.
Sunscreen Lotion Bars
Keep in fridge until ready to use. These do melt, so when I take them on the go, I like to put them in a 4 ounce mason jar or ziploc bag.
Sweet Digestion Belly Butter
Have you ever experienced a tight, uncomfortable belly after eating cold foods (like ice cream) in winter? Cardamom essential oil is so helpful for that . . . and any time you feel bloated because you’ve eaten a bit too much.
In Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit, Gabriel Mojay says Cardamom essential oil is “. . . a general tonic of the body’s vital energy, and its principle use lies in the treatment of digestive complaints . . .”
One of my favorite ways to use it is in a light body butter that you can rub on your belly and low back. Here’s a blend you can use before or after eating (or both!).
Swelling Lotion
Great for ankle swelling.
Ultra-Moisture Lotion
This recipe is used as a lotion. In the container, the final product feels more like a thick body butter versus a pump lotion. Once spread on the skin it acts as an amazing moisturizing lotion.
